Presenting… The Writing Writers Magazine!

A while ago, Mirra and I started a collab blog, The Writing Writers. And in a month, we have ten amazing authors, thirty followers and a good response to our work.

All in just a month.

And now, we have started what we call The Writing Writers Magazine, featuring both our authors’ AND readers’ work. That’s right, you can enter too, and you will receive full attribution. It is assuredly safe and the process of entering is simple.

Would YOU like to be a part of the magazine? For more details, check out our Magazine page. Otherwise, if you want to participate anonymously, you can vote in the magazine design poll that will soon be conducted to vote for your favorite design.

Please support the initiative by spreading the word and help us make this a success. If you want to participate, express your willingness and link the work you would like to enter in the comments.

Will you enter?

Yours,
Mukta@ Born Free

Interview Swap with Mirra@ A Young Writer’s Dream

Interview.png

On February 12th, 2017, my friend Mirra started a blog, A Young Writer’s Dream. When I suggested for us to do this post, she gladly agreed. And so, after much planning, I’m going to answer some questions she has laid out.

What is your favorite writing style?

I can’t decide which I like better between prose and verse, but I do enjoy writing fiction set in the realistic world.

Why do you like blogging?

What can I say? A blog is a site on the web that can lead people straight to a corner of your mind. That explains about it all.

How does writing a blog make you feel?

Actually, I don’t feel very ecstatic, because I’ve been running this blog for four years. Neither do I feel afraid to hit the Publish button, because I’ve done it plenty of times. I publish something if I think it’s worth, and that’s all I need. No extra emotions necessary.

I’ve noticed that your blog designs keep changing, which I really like, but how do your other readers feel about this?

I haven’t really asked people about this matter, nor has anyone given me their opinion. I just do it because I think I can make my blog more pleasing to look at. I guess I like my blog better when it’s just the way I want it to be.

Which blogs do you recommend to other bloggers out there?

Ooh, this is a tough one.

A Barefoot Gal has stuck to my follower list for quite a while. My aunt writes really well too, and she has published some of her writings at I TOT I TOT. There’s A Young Writer’s Dream, with almost daily posts, and some more of my friends’ sites of which I have posted here before. Meh, I’m not going to bombard this place with links.

How do you like having your blog laid out?

I personally think that my blog should have an airy feel, but no shortage of content. I don’t want it messy and muddled up, so I prefer simple fonts rather than curvy scripts.

Who inspired you to begin blogging?

This blog wasn’t actually started by meMy dad began it when I knew nothing about blogging as a place for my travel diary entries and maintained it for a year or two and then I took charge. Now, everything from the post writing to the designing to the publishing is done by me.

That is all!
In the meantime, I have a question for you…

How do you like it when I change my themes from time to time?

Does it make your feel comfortable, or do you like seeing something different?

General Life & Going-Ons

Yeah, so… about photography week.

So I couldn’t post for photography week. That’s because it took too much time to make a post what with transferring a great load of photos and all. So it won’t be happening. Yeah.

BUT, I’ll still be posting photos around here. Not all in one post or stuff like that, they’ll be clean and individual. So maybe you’ll have a little less trouble if you’re thinking of catching a glimpse of my pics without having to go through those loads of pre-post sentences. A picture paints a thousand words, after all.

My blog’s looking different.

I say there ain’t a perfect time for a re-design. Yeah, my tastes keep varying from time to time, but it’s not unusual for someone like me. My blog’s been re-designed. Yet again.

I’m open to suggestions from you if you have any. You know, on my color scheme and all. You can tell me your suggestions anytime.

2017

It’s been a great year so far, and I hope to do things that I’ll be proud of to make this year one to remember.

How’s your year going? Have any plans? Well, I don’t 😉

How I Like It

Remember seeing Mukta’s Diary as the title for my blog? You can see something else now. There are different colours, fonts, and a minimal design. That’s how I like it.

The point is, Mukta’s Diary is now Born Free. I found the need for it to be. It’s still the same, yet it’s different. That’s how I like it.

The way I describe myself is different now. My sense of design is different now. The way you look it my blog is different now. That’s how I like it.

Do you?

First Blog Design

I just did my first blog design for an external blog. It was so much fun! I wanted to do a clean and classic design, and if you want to see it, click this link. And if you’re planning to click it, I’d love to know what you think.

Kasak’s Notebook

I just realised that I ❤ blog designing!
I hope I’ll be doing it again sooner or later. That’ll most probably be later, so I should better get back to NaNoWriMo. There are just 4 days left! *tension attack*

Woohoo!!

When I posted that I had 30, it was October 13th. And now it’s November 18th. So… that is 10 followers in 36 days. Thanks, followers!
I’m 36% done with my NaNoWriMo novel… there are just 22 days left! I hope I can make it.

I’m going to award myself some chocolate for my achievement 😀
Cheerio!
